State Council Unveils Measures to Save Energy and Cut Emissions

A comprehensive plan for energy conservation and emissions reduction recently unveiled by the State Council for the 14th Five-Year Plan period envisages China’s energy consumption per unit of GDP dropping by 13.5% from its 2020 levels and total energy consumption being brought under reasonable control by 2025. The plan sets forth 10 major measures for meeting the respective targets.
