The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is organising the 34th edition of the HKTDC Hong Kong Book Fair from 17 to 23 July, a popular summer event, which typically draws some one million Hong Kong residents and visitors of all ages.
This year's Book Fair will retain the Art Gallery and World of Art and Culture and other themed areas displaying literary and artistic exhibits from different countries and regions to inform the public about cultures from across the world.
Activities at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre will include discussions on history, ancient poetry, children's literature, art and opera. The Children's Paradise zone features a number of educational activities, such as celebrity storytelling, theatre and parent-child cinema.
The seventh HKTDC Hong Kong Sports and Leisure Expo and the fourth HKTDC World of Snacks will be held concurrently.
The Sports and Leisure Expo brings together a variety of products and experiences, including many opportunities to try out the equipment. Highlights of this year's Expo include the Sports Hub, Health and Fitness and Outdoor Experience. There will also be a Japan Pavilion as well as Photography World and Board Games zone.
The World of Snacks will once again include specialty treats from across the world, from chocolates, sweets, old-time favourites as well as a range of healthy snack options.
