CENTRESTAGE

Design ServicesHong KongFashionDesign

Annual fashion highlight offers a chance to see the creations of cutting-edge designers and a glance at the industry’s future.

The eighth edition of our fashion highlight CENTRESTAGE returns to a fully in-person event for the first time in three years following the end of COVID-19 restrictions.

The ALLURE zone showcases excellence in craftsmanship, refinement and elegance. ICONIC features contemporary, chic and avant-garde designs. METRO displays casual, youthful expressions of urban life.

CENTRESTAGE also features CENTRESTAGE ELITES, welcoming two top-notch Asian fashion design units, namely FETICO (Designer: Emi Funayama) from Japan and REDEMPTIVE (Founder and Designer: Wilson Choi) from Hong Kong to present their latest collections at the gala.

After graduating from high school, Ms Funayama went to the United Kingdom then returned to Japan and enrolled at the Esmod Japan Tokyo, where she completed her course in 2010. She started her own label FETICO in 2020 and won JFW NEXT BRAND AWARD 2023 and TOKYO FASHION AWARD in 2022.

The founder and designer of REDEMPTIVE, Mr Choi has been influenced by different cultural environments, which helped him explore human emotions and contemporary social phenomena for inspiration. During his studies, he received scholarships to study in the UK, Germany, and Sweden, and he has won numerous awards in fashion. After university, Mr Choi founded his personal brand, REDEMPTIVE, in 2018. He defines REDEMPTIVE as a group of rebellious young people who care about the world and society, and the brand is clean and vivid, young and mature. The brand is a microcosm of contemporary Chinese youth.

CENTRESTAGE also features Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers' Contest

The Fashion Hong Kong Runway Show brings together four domestic fashion designer labels to collaborate with Hong Kong Ballet in a group runway show with performing arts. Introducing dance in the show to present the designers’ latest collections, the project hopes to bring double enjoyment of the visual arts: fashion and ballet .

Taking the show beyond the exhibition venue, the CENTRESTAGE In Town pop-up shop will run from 20 August to 9 September.
