A flagship event in the Hong Kong-Guangdong Cooperation Week, Chic Hong Kong will introduce Hong Kong’s excellent brands and characteristic designs to consumers in Shenzhen and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, including consumer electronics and technology products, smart home products, food and beverages, trendy clothing, hygiene and epidemic prevention products.
To enhance promotion, the Hong Kong products on display will be integrated into different thematic scenes – including life style and taste. The event is physical but provides an O2O sales model, convenient for consumers to buy favourite products.
The event will be held in fast-growing Shenzhen, Hong Kong’s neighbour and a city of international modernisation and innovative technology, with a thriving economy, full of urban charm, vitality and extraordinary creativity, with a population of more than 13 million.
Shenzhen recorded retail sales of Rmb866 billion (US$125 billion) in 2020. Its exports increased 1.5% year-on-year to Rmb1.7 trillion, and imports also increased 3.6% year-on-year.
Shenzhen’s economy is growing rapidly and consumers know how to enjoy life and are willing to buy high-quality consumer goods in pursuit of a quality life.
Shenzhen is a core development engine of the GBA, which is a major development strategy under the country’s reform and opening up policy. The area has a population of more than 72 million and a GDP of US$1.68 trillion. Shenzhen and the GBA can serve as an effective platform for Hong Kong SMEs to grasp the dual circulation policy to develop the domestic market.
