T-box Workshop on “Know-how on Doing Business in Mainland China – Labour Law, Personal Income Tax Law and Insurance” (Webinar)

COVID-19 pandemic has no doubt created a lot of impacts on the ecosystem of the business operations. SMEs have made contingency arrangements for employees which may cause tension on the employment relationship. In view of this, experts are invited to share information about (1) Mainland labour laws; (2) tax arrangements for Hong Kong residents developing in the Mainland; (3) how to make good use of China and Hong Kong Relevant insurance protects enterprises and employees; (4) labour dispute prevention and resolution methods, etc. The workshop will also share practical cases to help companies and individuals formulate more effective risk management systems.

Dr. Kwok has over 30 years’ experience in “Corporate Governance”, and has also expertise in financial, insurance industry and mediation. She is currently appointed as the “Greater Bay Area Business Consultant” for Hong Kong Intellectual Property Advisory Services Limited (HKIPAS). Dr. Kwok is also an Expert Juror of Shenzhen Qianhai Cooperation Zone People’s Court. She was invited by the Dongguan No. 2 People’s Court, to mediate and successfully settled the “First online cross-border labour dispute involving a Hong Kong resident”, and which was widely reported by the local media and the court’s website. She was also invited by the Dongguan Municipal Labor Arbitration Court to give lecture to more than 300 labor arbitrators in topics of Hong Kong Labour Laws, International Mediation and sharing her successful Mediation cases in the Greater Bay Area, Hong Kong and Macau, which was reported by the Dongguan Daily. Dr. Kwok often assists the courts in handling pre-litigation mediations of cross-border Commercial and Labour Disputes. Her goal is to facilitate communication, exchange and mutual understanding across the border so as to minimize misunderstanding, narrow down difference, avoid disputes and litigations, and to help Hong Kong SMEs to resolve disputes in the most convenient way, so as to jointly build up a better business environment.
