WTO Approves China Bid to Impose Annual Tariffs of US$645 Million on US Imports

The World Trade Organisation (WTO) has ruled that China can impose compensatory tariffs of some US$645 million a year on imported US items. The decision relates to a 2012 application by China, which sought to challenge a range of anti-subsidy tariffs introduced by the US between 2008-2012.
