PAKISTAN: Tax Exemption on Imported Covid Care Equipment Extended to Year End

The Sales Tax exemption on imported items used in the treatment of Covid-19 cases has been extended until the end of the year. The entitlement, which covers an array of medical devices and supplies, was originally scheduled to end on 9 July this year. In all, 61 items have been deemed exempt by the country’s Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), such as X-ray equipment, vital sign monitors and surgical masks.
