New Rule on Cosmetics Labelling Takes Effect in May 2022

On 3 June, the National Medical Products Administration issued an announcement (No. 77 [2021]) on the implementation of the Administrative Provisions on Cosmetics Labelling.

Applicants seeking to register or file records on cosmetics are encouraged to label their products in accordance with the Administrative Provisions from the date of issuance of this announcement; however, they must comply with the new regulations and requirements when submitting new applications from 1 May 2022. Applicants whose cosmetics were registered prior to the new Provisions coming into effect must have their product labels updated before 1 May 2023.
