China Issues List of Integrated Manufacturing and Internet Development Pilot Projects

On 27 January, the General Office of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) announced a list of 135 pilot projects for furthering the integration of manufacturing and internet development in 2020 (Gong Xin Ting Xin Fa Han No. 307 [2020]). Projects on the list were chosen in accordance with the requirements set out in a circular issued earlier by the MIIT General Office (Gong Xin Ting Xin Fa Han No. 240 [2020]) through voluntary application, recommendation by local authorities, assessment by experts, online notification and other means. Relevant local authorities are asked to conscientiously promote the projects in the light of local circumstances. The list covers the following:

• Standards for the implementation of integrated informatisation and industrialisation management systems (48)

• Cross-sectoral industrial internet platforms (15)

• Special dedicated industrial internet platforms (64)

• China-Germany smart manufacturing co-operation (8)
