Event Details
Following the Chief Executive’s Policy Address, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will launch a Hong Kong Shopping Festival to showcase Hong Kong consumer products and brands on mainland e-commerce platforms, enabling small-to-medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to leverage the platforms’ extensive visitor traffic and diverse customer base to drive publicity exposure. The initiative will also provide SMEs with practical experience in expanding into mainland China via e-commerce.
Part One: Discount Month (1-31 August 2024)
An official campaign webpage will be created to feature all participating companies and the special deals offered by their online stores in mainland China. Throughout the month-long campaign, the HKTDC will promote the event through various strategically planned digital marketing channels to attract targeted consumers' attention and boost visits to the online shops.
Part Two: Live-streaming (Late August 2024)
Notable KOLs will be invited to conduct live-streaming sessions on major e-commerce platforms (such as Douyin, Taobao/Tmall and JD etc.) at a specific time-frame to promote the participating products and brands, providing a dedicated platform for consumers to engage with KOLs and make instant purchases online.
