The Master Plan for the Construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle issued by the CPC Central Committee and State Council in October 2021, identifies Chengdu, 27 districts (and counties) in Chongqing, and 14 other Sichuan cities as the “Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle”.
