WHY: Speakers include Nicholas Fu, who as Economist (Global Research), HKTDC Research, is responsible for North and Latin American market development research. He also provides key insights into a broad range of product and service sectors, including textiles, fur, leather goods, jewellery, gifts/premiums, toys, design and film/entertainment.
He will be joined by Julie Wilkens, Head of Sales and Marketing at Novetex Textiles Limited and a 20-year veteran of the knitwear and yarn sector. Ms Wilkens’ firm is an undisputed textile industry market leader with solid operational experience across the many different stages of the supply chain – from yarn sourcing, sample development and technical advice through to production control, and quality assurance. Since joining Novetex, she has spearheaded a number of initiatives aimed at challenging and improving industry standards, including exploring the applications of such innovative upcycling technology as The Billie System to promote more sustainable practices in Hong Kong.
