Robert Wun – the Hong Kong-born, London-based designer who has dressed celebrities, such as Beyoncé, Celine Dion and Lady Gaga – will showcase some of his latest creations at this year’s CENTRESTAGE, the annual fashion show organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC).
The haute couture designer’s Home collection will take the runway at CENTRESTAGE ELITES, the fashion event’s gala show, at the Hong Kong Palace Museum on 3 September.
Other highlights at this year’s CENTRESTAGE include the Fashion Hong Kong runway show and Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers’ Contest (YDC), a launchpad to kickstart the careers of up-and-coming talent.
Many YDC entrants have subsequently launched their own labels, making a name for themselves in Hong Kong and beyond.
Successful alumni include Arto Wong, Derek Chan, Wilson Choi, Wilson Yip and Charlotte Ng, among others.
The three key events – the CENTRESTAGE ELITES Gala, Fashion Hong Kong runway show and Young Fashion Designers’ Contest – will also be livestreamed.
The CENTRESTAGE fair, now in its 9th year, is being held at the Hong Kong Conference and Exhibition Centre on 4-7 September.
The exhibition will include five thematic zones: Craftmanship, Contemporary, Urban, Athleisure and Circular Fashion.
Concurrent events include the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair and Salon de TIME, which will both run on 3-7 September.
