Market Regulator Facilitates Quality Certification Amid Epidemic
04 March 2020
Certification institutions have been asked to adjust their work in the light of current conditions and risk control capability during the coronavirus outbreak, while ensuring compliance, efficiency and sustainability. Top priorities include:
- Take proper steps to provide enterprises (particularly micro-, small- and medium-sized operations) with online services, such as acceptance of certification application, enquiry handling, and communication and rectification.
- Institutions may, according to the epidemic situation and the actual conditions for a company, select proper ways to complete the process of audit/factory inspection (including initial certification audit/inspection, supervised review/inspection, and re-certification audit), and verify the relevant results, or conduct further on-site audit/factory inspection after the epidemic ends.
Full details can be found in the Circular on Implementing the Tasks Concerning Quality Certification During the Prevention and Control of the Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia Epidemic, issued recently by the State Administration for Market Regulation.
