Import Inspection Surveillance Cancelled for Textile Machinery and Other Goods

In accordance with the relevant provisions of the Commodity Inspection Law of the People’s Republic of China and its implementation regulation, the General Administration of Customs has made adjustments to its Catalogue of Entry-Exit Commodities Subject to Inspection. It recently issued an Announcement on Adjusting the Catalogue of Entry-Exit Commodities Subject to Inspection (GAC Announcement No. 220 ). From 1 January 2020, customs supervision requirement “A” has been scrapped for goods under 199 HS codes, including fabrics, adult garments, textile machinery and cold-rolled steel. In other words, import inspection surveillance is no longer required for these items.
