China’s National Smart Home Standards Set to be Adopted on 1 July

Three national smart home standards are to be officially adopted from 1 July. Jointly approved by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) and the Standardisation Administration of China (SAC), the three standards relate to different aspects of smart home operation - Smart Home and the Internet of Things: Unicode of Data and Devices, Smart Home and the Internet of Things: Device Description Methods and General Technical Requirements for Smart Home Control Equipment. All the standards contain detailed definitions and specifications relating to text and graphic identification, data and device encoding, device descriptions, user interfaces and design content.
