Update on US forced labour legislation

This webinar will help Hong Kong SMEs assess the impact of new US legislation against forced labour.


WHAT:  After the United States began to enforce fresh legislation against forced labour last month, this webinar will focus on due-diligence requirements and consider how Hong Kong small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can best ensure supply chain compliance with the various provisions of the new legislation.

WHEN: 1 August 2022   2.30pm-3.30pm

WHO: Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council

WHY: Speakers include Louis Chan, Principal Economist (Global Research), at HKTDC Research. Mr Chan provides leadership and direction for the HKTDC’s evaluation of the American and European markets.

He will be joined by Tiffany Chong, Director, Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, Limited. Ms Chong provides strategic advice to a wide range of clients on trade and customs law issues for both Hong Kong and Mainland China, including valuations, preference programmes, export controls and sanctions.

Another speaker will be Wilkie Wong, Chief Financial Officer, Esquel Group. His knowledge-based innovation company pushes for positive change in the textile and apparel business, expanding into new territory to evolve with the industry and its customers.
