Yangtze River Delta opportunities
This business advisory workshop explores how to access the mainland market through the delta region with Shanghai at its core.
11 July 2022
WHAT: As the COVID-19 pandemic situation in Mainland China stabilises, the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) region, one of the mainland’s key economic drivers, has introduced an accelerated programme to stimulate consumption and facilitate economic recovery. This extends to Shanghai, where a gradual resumption of economic activity is underway. With the mainland actively encouraging high-quality imports from around the world, Shanghai has emerged as a primary market gateway. In light of this, this workshop will focus on how Hong Kong businesses can access the YRD and many other key mainland market opportunities through Shanghai.
WHEN: 22 July 2022 3pm-4.30pm
WHO: Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. Supporting organisation: Support and Consultation Centre for SMEs of the Trade and Industry Department (SUCCESS)
WHY: The session will be moderated by Shi Chun, an HKTDC Business Advisor who is currently on secondment from the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce. The webinar will be introduced by Irina Fan, Director of Research, HKTDC. Other speakers include representatives of the Hongqiao International Central Business District Administration, the Lin-gang Special Area of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone as well as representatives from enterprises and import platforms.
