Two major jewellery shows – bringing together exhibitors and buyers from around the world – are returning to Hong Kong in March, reaffirming the city’s status as an international trade and jewellery sourcing centre.
The Hong Kong International Jewellery Show will take place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 4-8 March while the Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem and Pearl Show will be held at AsiaWorld-Expo on 2-6 March.
Online business matching and sourcing for both shows will start in February.
This year’s International Jewellery Show will cater to a diverse range of buying segments and tastes. Key highlights include World of Glamour, which showcases Hong Kong’s fine jewellery sector, and Hall of Extraordinary, which focuses on distinctive high-value pieces.
The Show will also feature stylish branded collections, designer products targeting younger wearers, fine jewellery from around the world and diversified silver, titanium and stainless-steel pieces, among other areas.
These will be complemented by a variety of events, including industry seminars, jewellery parades and networking sessions.
Additionally, the International Jewellery Show will host the award ceremonies and official winners’ announcements for two competitions: the Hong Kong Jewellery Design Competition and the International Jewellery Design Excellence Award. Visitors will be able to admire the winning designs from both competitions at the show.
Meanwhile, the Diamond, Gem and Pearl Show will showcase natural diamonds, gemstones and pearls as well as laboratory-grown diamonds and synthetic gemstones. It will also feature trend forecasts, seminars, buyer forums and jewellery parades.
Both shows are being co-organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council; The Jewellers’ and Goldsmiths’ Association of Hong Kong Limited; Hong Kong Jewellery & Jade Manufacturers Association; Hong Kong Jewelry Manufacturers' Association; and Diamond Federation of Hong Kong, China Ltd.
Last year, the twin events gathered together more than 4,000 exhibitors from 44 countries and regions and some 81,000 buyers from 137 countries and regions.
