The latest industry trends and breakthroughs from the electronics and lighting sectors will feature at four major tech fairs in Hong Kong next month.
The Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) and electronicAsia will run concurrently on 13-16 October at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).
The Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition) will take place from 27 to 30 October at the HKCEC, while the Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo will be held on 28-31 October at AsiaWorld-Expo.
Between them, the four fairs are set to gather more than 6,200 exhibitors from 27 countries and regions.
“These events provide a platform for the industry to showcase innovative achievements, foster collaboration and leverage Hong Kong’s platform to go global, explore new markets and capture new business opportunities,” remarked Sophia Chong, Acting Executive Director of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC).
The Autumn Electronics Fair, organised by the HKTDC, will feature more than 20 exhibition zones. There will be a special focus on AI and robotics, the silver economy and digital entertainment, including a dedicated RoboPark event space for the latest robotics tech.
The newly added RISE Avenue will feature the latest in smart devices, sensing technology and wearables. Another new zone, the Adventure Hub, will present cars that have been upgraded to EVs using oil-to-electric technology.
Meanwhile, more than 500 world-renowned brands will display their wares in the Hall of Fame, the main exhibition area. New generation products and lifestyle appliances will also be on display at the Tech Hall.
A new Hong Kong Tech Showcase, supported by the Hong Kong SAR Government, will host some 40 participating enterprises, while the StartUp Zone allows tech entrepreneurs and young business leaders to present their latest ideas.
A wide variety of electronic components and technologies will also be on show at electronicAsia, which is co-organised by the HTKDC and MMI Asia and running concurrently with the Autumn Electronics Fair.
Forums and seminars at the two fairs will cover a variety of different topics, including robotics, energy storage and AI.
Between them, the two events are expected to attract more than 3,200 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions.
Immersive experiences, smart innovations
Following the electronics shows, the two lighting fairs – also organised by the HKTDC – will be themed ‘Illuminated Designs for a Smarter Future’, featuring some 3,000 exhibitors from more than 20 countries and regions.
Presentations at the Autumn Lighting Fair will include award-winning designs from globally renowned projects.
Some 60 top-tier brands will showcase immersive experiences and cutting-edge technologies in the Hall of Connected Lighting. The Hall of Aurora will bring together high-quality products from some 540 renowned brands.
Other featured zones include Commercial Lighting, Residential Lighting and LED Lighting and LED Essentials.
Meanwhile, this year’s Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo will feature outdoor, commercial and industrial lighting products and technologies that support smart cities.
The Smart Pole and Solution Zone, introduced last year, will return to promote innovative solutions that aid smart city planning and energy efficiency.
A series of seminars, product launches and networking events will also be held during the two lighting fairs, including the Innovative Lighting Design Forum and the Connected Lighting Forum.
Shuttle bus services will also be provided to make it easier for exhibitors and buyers to travel between HKCEC and AsiaWorld-Expo during the exhibition period.
The four fairs will continue to adopt the EXHIBITION+ hybrid model. Exhibitors and buyers can use the Click2Match platform for online negotiations and matchmaking, in addition to participating in the physical fairs.
The online edition of the Autumn Electronics Fair and electronicAsia will be held from 6 to 23 October. The Autumn Lighting Fair and the International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo online edition will run from 20 October to 7 November.
