Dongguan Adjusts Environmental Protection Access Policy for Construction Projects
25 September 2020
In August, the Ecology and Environment Bureau of Dongguan issued its revised opinions on the implementation of the differentiated environmental protection access policy for construction projects (Dong Huan No. 295 [2018]). The policy will be implemented on a trial basis for one year from the date of issuance.
- Construction projects and processing projects in industries which produce volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions must be located in industrial parks. Such industries include the petrochemical, chemical, industrial coating and packaging and printing industries. Projects undertaken by “key pollutant discharging entities” and construction projects for industrial wastewater discharge are also included.
- Optimised environmental access conditions are to be formulated by the Binhaiwan New Area and the Songshan Lake High-Tech Industrial Development Zone and promptly filed with the city’s ecology and environment bureau.
