Entrepreneur Day (E-Day), the Hong Kong Trade Development Council’s anchor event for the start-up ecosystem, is returning on 5-6 December.
Under the new theme of ‘Where Start-up Dreams Take Flight’, the start-up event looks to help early-stage businesses achieve commercial success.
E-Day gives start-ups the opportunity to showcase their ideas and connect with investors and other ecosystem partners through business matching sessions, networking activities and seminars as well as an exhibition.
A rising stars seminar featuring Gen Z entrepreneurs and a youth-oriented start-up mixer, both co-organised with the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, will shine a spotlight on emerging entrepreneurial talent.
The annual start-up showcase is also celebrating innovation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay area, through the InnoClub Awards, as well as on the international stage, through Start-up Express International.
InnoClub is a platform to promote digital adoption and new business models for start-ups and SMEs, run in collaboration with Hang Seng Bank.
E-Day will host an awards presentation ceremony that recognises exceptional achievements by InnoClub members.
Start-up Express International, now in its third year, is an annual competition for early-stage start-ups from outside Hong Kong.
This year’s 10 winners will share industry insights and their own start-up journeys.
E-Day will run concurrently with two other HKTDC events, the Business of IP Asia Forum (BIP Asia) and DesignInspire.
This year, E-Day has joined hands with BIP Asia to co-host the Business of Tech Summit, which will look at eco-friendly innovation and proptech.
The business opportunities and challenges created by AI and other transformational technologies will also be a major point of discussion.
Seminars and masterclasses at E-Day will look at AI’s impact on a variety of areas, including branding, customer engagement and productivity.
