Tackling food waste is the bread and butter of green start-up Breer, which fulfills its sustainability and business aspirations by upcycling surplus bread into handcrafted beer. The company won the Social Impact Award from the HKTDC’s Start-up Express entrepreneurship development programme in 2021. The HKTDC backing helped Breer meet various challenges including product development, network building and marketing.
