The Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair and Salon de TIME will run on 3-7 September at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).
The trade-oriented Watch & Clock Fair spans the entire industry supply chain, including complete timepieces, parts and components, and machinery and equipment.
The timepiece trade show will also feature panels and speeches discussing major trends shaping the industry, including sustainability, wearable tech, wellness and the silver economy.
Salon de TIME, which focuses on luxury watches, will also be open to the public and industry practitioners.
For both fairs, online business matching via HKTDC’s Click2Match virtual platform will be available from 27 August to 14 September, while online sourcing opened on 3 August and will continue to 2 October.
Both events are co-organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) with two industry trade associations – Hong Kong Watch Manufacturers Association Ltd and The Federation of Hong Kong Watch Trades & Industries Ltd.
Visitors will also be able to see the shortlisted entries from this year’s HK Watch & Clock Design Competition. These will be on display at the HKCEC during the fairs.
This long-standing contest for Hong Kong-based companies and individuals consists of two categories: an open group for companies and designers, and a more targeted group just for students.
This year, the open category is looking for new concepts and styles that inspire and captivate the wearer. The student group, meanwhile, has been challenged to use AI to explore new frontiers for quartz watches.
Last year, Watch & Clock Fair and Salon de TIME attracted nearly 15,000 buyers from 95 countries and regions.
Aside from the two fairs, HKTDC is concurrently organising CENTRESTAGE, the annual fashion fair, on 4-7 September.
