Healthy ageing will be one key focus at this year’s Asia Summit on Global Health (ASGH).

This year’s Summit, Asia’s premier platform for health innovation and investment, is introducing a new Silver Health Chapter, which will focus on anti-ageing tech and improving healthcare for older people.

One scheduled session on geriatrics and longevity technology will look at the latest innovations, market trends and investment opportunities in the growing silver market.

This will include the need for inter-disciplinary collaboration between healthcare providers, innovators and policymakers to further enhance elderly care.

Another planned session will focus on the latest trends and advances in neuroscience, including ways to treat diseases such as Parkinson’s.

This year’s InnoHealth Showcase – a dedicated exhibition area to connect medical and healthcare startups with potential investors and partners – will also feature some cutting-edge projects related to an ageing population, from wearable robotics for people recovering from a stroke to new drugs for bone health.

ASGH 2025 will take place on 26-27 May at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The theme of this year’s event is Fostering Global Collaboration for a Shared Future.

This year’s ASGH Business Hub, which includes the InnoHealth Showcase, will host more than 160 exhibitors.

Healthcare solutions and services on offer will cover a diverse span of areas, including medical innovation technology, smart healthcare, AI, big data, telemedicine, cybersecurity and more.

The Summit also provides deal-making and project pitching services to help promising projects and start-ups raise their profile and connect with potential investors.

Last year’s ASGH hosted more than 80 internationally renowned speakers and attracted more than 2,800 participants from 40 countries and regions.

ASGH 2024 also arranged more than 360 one-to-one meetings matching investors with global healthcare projects.

ASGH is co-organised by the Hong Kong SAR Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.
