Greater Bay Area sales

Hong Kong businesses have a chance to learn how they can expand their presence in the neighbouring areas of Guangdong.

22 February 2021

WHAT: Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao authorities are actively implementing the Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, driving collaborative development of the three economies. Hong Kong businesses can capitalise on these measures and tap opportunities in other parts of the Greater Bay Area and Mainland China as a whole. In this workshop, businesses can find out about the latest developments in the Greater Bay Area and receive practical tips on doing business in the mainland.

WHEN: 8 March 2021 (Monday), 3pm to 4.15pm

WHO: Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC)

WHY: Speakers include Wing Chu, Business Advisory Manager in the Research Department of the HKTDC, who heads the department’s Business Advisory Unit. The unit, supported by business advisers seconded to the HKTDC from mainland government departments, partners with a number of institutions in Hong Kong and on the mainland to provide information services to the public on trade-related issues via various formats, such as seminars and practical workshops. It also works with a number of external parties to undertake joint research programmes and provide research intelligence for public reference, including the latest information on the Belt and Road Initiative and the mainland’s business laws and regulations.

Another speaker is Sun Jian, China Business Advisor at the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, who currently serves as a resident China Business Advisor at the HKTDC Business Advisory Unit on a secondment basis.
