feature

WHAT: Hong Kong businesses are keen to capitalise on opportunities created by Mainland China’s move to boost domestic demand in line with the country’s 14th Five-Year Plan. Many firms consider establishing a mainland-based limited company and this online seminar will discuss developments in the company registration system in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the mainland at large, focusing on newly introduced information-reporting obligations for Hong Kong-funded, mainland-registered business entities. It will be followed by a question-and-answer session.

WHEN: 26 May 2021 – 15.00 to 16.15

WHO: Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC)

WHY:  Speakers include Wing Chu, Business Advisory Manager, Research Department, HKTDC. He heads the HKTDC Research Department’s Business Advisory Unit, which partners with a number of Hong Kong and mainland institutions to deliver updates on trade-related issues on many channels, including seminars and workshops. The unit also undertakes joint research with a wide range of external bodies, with a particular focus on the Belt and Road Initiative, the Greater Bay Area and mainland business regulations. Also addressing the seminar will be Sun Jian from Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, who is currently seconded to the HKTDC as the Business Advisory Unit’s China Business Advisor.
