India’s retail and e-tail sectors boom

WHAT: India has become a preferred destination for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) looking to expand into the e-commerce, fintech and artificial intelligence consumer sectors. This webinar will provide an overview of the latest trends in India's booming retail and e-commerce markets. Representatives and experts will offer insights into the trends that are shaping India's retail sector along with information on the country's evolving e-tail sector and growing cross-border business. A 30-minute business advisory consultation will follow the webinar, where expert consultants will offer in-depth advice and information on the burgeoning Indian market.

WHY: Speakers will include Rajesh Bhagat, South Asia Consultant for the HKTDC, a qualified chartered accountant whose business interests include trade promotion through organising international B2B trade shows in India and other countries in South Asia, as well as publishing various professional magazines and books.

He will be joined by Dr Hitesh Bhatt, Marketing Director, Retailers Association of India (RAI), who has worked with top organisations across diverse sectors including retail, pharmaceuticals, vehicles, fuel, retail marketing, consulting, and media. Prior to joining RAI, Dr Bhatt was Head of Marketing and Communications at TCL-Times Group.

The third speaker will be Sthiradhi Das, Senior Manager (Sourcing and Vendor Development), Croma, Infiniti Retail. Mr Das is the business manager of Own Label & Exclusives Brands at Infiniti Retail and is responsible for P&L ownership, product selection and global sourcing, supply chain management, category management and product development.
