For Hong Kong AI company WYNI Technology, exhibiting at a Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) pavilion in Dubai has helped the homegrown start-up win an overseas client and secure a strategic fundraising partnership that promises to significantly expand the company’s reach and impact.
The HKTDC regularly stages Hong Kong Pavilions at major exhibitions around the world, including at GITEX Global in Dubai in October 2025. For WYNI, taking part in GITEX was not simply a marketing exercise, but a business development opportunity that connected the company with clients, partners and advisers in fast-growing technology markets.
“The HKTDC’s support was foundational,” said Winnie Leung, Founder and CEO of WYNI Technology. “The Hong Kong Tech Pavilion and associated networking opportunities gave us the platform and introductions that facilitated meaningful conversations with potential business partners.”
From start-up to AI player
WYNI develops agentic AI solutions that help organisations improve productivity without adding more workers. Its flagship product – the Not Only Office AI Staff Hub – deploys AI “staff” to support audio-to-text transcription, knowledge management and autonomous workflows across enterprise systems.
The AI Staff Hub reduces the burden of information and operational tasks, so professionals can focus on higher-value judgment, creativity and client relationships.
Ms Leung founded WYNI as a self-financed venture in 2021 after more than a decade working in financial services and digital transformation. The company initially provided custom AI and digital solutions for enterprises, education institutions and government-related clients and launched Not Only Office to meet growing demand. The product was named Most Outstanding Digital Transformation Solution of the Year at the HKCT Business Awards 2026.
Overseas expansion has become a priority in the company’s long-term strategy. “While Hong Kong is a strong market, demand for agentic productivity tools is global,” Ms Leung said. WYNI aims to become a leading AI solutions brand empowering enterprises across Southeast Asia, the Middle East and beyond.
Securing partners for the next stage
That ambition made the HKTDC’s invitation to join the Hong Kong Pavilion especially timely.
“We saw it as an efficient way to engage a concentrated audience of government decision-makers, entrepreneurs and investors in a single trip,” Ms Leung said. The Middle East market is attractive, she added, because of its “rapid digital transformation agendas, significant AI investments and openness to partnering with Asian technology providers.”
The pavilion gave WYNI immediate credibility as part of a curated group of Hong Kong innovators, recalled Ms Leung. The HKTDC’s pre-departure briefings also equipped it with business insights for more effective engagement with international buyers and partners.
Networking support proved equally important. The HKTDC organised a business dinner with local business connectors, including venture capital firms, corporate partners and decision-makers. Ms Leung said these arrangements “transformed a large trade show into a series of high-quality and high-value conversations.”
Those conversations produced tangible results. In early 2026, WYNI deployed an AI-powered solution for a Philippines-based accounting services company, generating recurring revenue and case study for business prospecting.
A second milestone was reached in June, when the firm formalised a collaboration with a Dubai-based fundraising advisor based on due diligence that validated WYNI’s business model, technology, capabilities and management. The collaboration supports WYNI’s capital raising and market development efforts across the Gulf states, Africa, Europe, and East Asia.
To Ms Leung, the partnership is strategically significant, as it creates a structured pathway to capital that will support product development and further market expansion.
Looking ahead, WYNI plans to make its agentic AI solutions more accessible to both enterprises and SMEs, while accelerating its momentum in the Middle East and Southeast Asia, including more market exploration through HKTDC platforms.
Ms. Leung’s advice to companies considering the HKTDC’s overseas promotions is direct: “Do it!”
“For us, the combination of exhibition presence, curated introductions and ongoing support has already translated into real clients and a strategic fundraising partnership. That is the kind of tangible return that makes participation worthwhile.”
