China Releases 14th Five-Year Plan for IPR Protection

The State Council recently released a plan for the protection and application of intellectual property rights (IPRs) during the 14th Five-Year period (2021-2025). The plan states that China will achieve its interim target of becoming a ‘strong IPR country’ and improve its system of punitive damages for IPR infringements and its mechanisms for IPR transfer and transformation, by 2025.
