Hong Kong designers have claimed the spotlight at London Fashion Week, captivating over 300 buyers, media representatives and industry players at a dedicated Fashion Hong Kong runway show held at The Vinyl Factory in Soho on 19 February.

The catwalk showcased the Autumn/Winter collections of four Hong Kong Four designers – Angus Tsui, Bettie Jiang (brand name: Bettie Haute Couture), Harrison Wong and Menu Tsai (brand name: selfFab). Their collections spanned a wide spectrum of design themes – from avant‑garde futurism and cultural fusion to zero‑waste tailoring and sporty aesthetics.

The event was organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) with support from the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in London.

Complementing the runway show was a curated display of pieces from the four designers, alongside a showcase of innovative fashion and garment materials drawn from the Fashion InStyle trade fair held annually in Hong Kong each April. The exhibits demonstrated how designers are driving innovation through the creative use of new materials, exploring the intersection of technology, sustainability and artistry.

In addition, the HKTDC mounted a week-long designer showroom for designers and brand managers to engage directly with international buyers, build business connections and explore collaboration opportunities, strengthening the international development and global reputation of Hong Kong fashion brands.

The runway show received strong support from the UK fashion industry, with notable guests including model Eva Apio, singer CC Clarke, renowned influencer Leo Mandella and celebrated stylist Karine Laudort.

The event also garnered coverage from leading international fashion media, including BBC News, DAZED, Forbes, Vogues Business and Wonderland.

Since its launch in 2015, Fashion Hong Kong has presented Hong Kong designers at major fashion weeks including New York, London and Tokyo, showcasing the creativity and vibrancy of Hong Kong fashion on the global stage. The return to London Fashion Week in 2026 once again underscores the strong international appeal and potential of Hong Kong’s design industry.
