China Releases Plan for Development of IPR

According to the 15-year plan (2021-2035) on the development of intellectual property rights (IPR) recently issued by the central authorities, the added value of China’s IPR-intensive industries is expected to account for 13% of GDP by 2025, with the added value of its copyright industry making up 7.5% of GDP. The total annual import/export value of IPR royalties is expected to reach RMB350 billion.
