2021 Annual Review on Inspection and Testing Agencies Begins

According to a circular jointly issued by the State Administration for Market Regulation and four other government departments (Guo Shi Jian Jian Ce Fa No. 33 [2021]), the mainland has decided to organise a review on 300 inspection and testing agencies (including 80 national quality supervision and testing centres) nationwide between June and October 2021 on random sampling basis. The sampling scheme is: five agencies in the area of motor vehicle inspection, 30 in the area of ecological and environmental monitoring, 10 in the area of land and resources inspection and testing, 10 in the area of water conservancy and water quality monitoring, 10 in the area of medical devices and protective equipment inspection and testing, and 10 in the area of food inspection.
