Tianjin Further Expands Opening-Up of Services Sector
14 May 2021
On 23 April, the Ministry of Commerce issued a circular outlining plans for a pilot programme to further expand reform and opening up of the services sector in Tianjin. In keeping with the new trend of the reshaping of global industrial chains and restructuring of international economic and trade rules, Tianjin will promote the deepening of reform and expansion of opening-up in key sectors such as digitalisation, finance, logistics, trade, information, healthcare and education. Efforts will be made to promote the demonstrative development of expanded opening-up in key service platforms and key industrial parks, and optimise institutional mechanisms for the opening-up and development of the services sector, in order to ease access restrictions category by category, promote the elimination of administrative barriers, improve the regulatory system, and enhance the international competitiveness and overall development level of services.
