Shenzhen Promotes Transformation and Upgrading of Manufacturing Industry

The Industry and Information Technology Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality recently issued measures to promote the development of high-quality manufacturing capabilities in the city. The measures fall under three pillars:

Raising energy levels in the development of manufacturing

• Foster advanced industrial clusters

• Actively attract major manufacturing projects

Promoting transformation and upgrading in manufacturing

• Improve manufacturing innovation systems

• Enhance basic industrial capabilities

• Use technological transformation to lead smart transformation

• Use the industrial internet to lead digital transformation

Building supply chains with international competitiveness

• Enhance enterprises’ professional capabilities

• Build an industrial ecosystem for integrative development

These measures took effect on 1 March and will remain in force for five years.
