03 February 2021
The State Council recently released revised regulations on business name registration and administration (State Council Decree No. 734), which will come into force on 1 March. The 26 articles of the new regulations are expected to make it easier to start a business, lower the costs of doing so, and stimulate market vitality.
Under the new regulations, administrations for market regulation at or above county level will serve as registration authorities responsible for registering the names of enterprises established in China. Meanwhile the market regulation department of the State Council is in charge of the administration of business name registration across the whole country.
