State Council Approves Expansion of Kunshan Pilot Area for Cross-Straits Industrial Co-operation
08 January 2021
The State Council gave its approval on 23 December 2020 to expand the Kunshan pilot area for the deepening of cross-Straits industrial co-operation to the whole city of Kunshan (Guo Han No. 168 [2020]). The expansion will follow the “dual circulation” development pattern, with the domestic economic cycle playing a leading role and the domestic and international cycles promoting each other. It will pilot new steps in trade facilitation, technological exchanges and financial co-operation and further promote cross-Straits industrial integration.
Meanwhile, the National Development and Reform Commission and the Jiangsu provincial government must join hands with the departments and entities concerned to further strengthen guidance and services to the development of the Kunshan pilot area through the inter-ministerial and inter-provincial joint meeting system of the Kunshan pilot area for deepening cross-Straits industrial co-operation.
