Dongguan Promotes Traditional Industries and Information Technology Services

On 20 November, the Bureau of Industry and Information Technology of Dongguan issued a circular containing measures for the management of special funds for pilot projects relating to “3+1” industrial clusters. The funds will support the development of industrial clusters around three dominant traditional industries - namely food and beverage, textile and apparel, and furniture, as well as software and information technology services. These measures will remain in force until 31 December 2022. The measures include:
- Support for the development of industrial clusters
- Growth incentives for dominant enterprises in traditional industries
- Automation of traditional industries
- Incentives for small and medium-sized enterprises in these industries which are “specialised, sophisticated, special and new”
- Incentives for incremental revenues in software and information services
- Upgrade to the industrial internet
- Industrial software incentives
