China Releases ‘Industrial Internet+ Work Safety’ Action Plan

On 14 October, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Emergency Management jointly issued a circular outlining an “Industrial Internet+ Work Safety” action plan for 2021-23 (Gong Xin Bu Lian Xin Fa No. 157 [2020]) to implement the State Council’s guideline on deepening the integration of new-generation information technology with manufacturing. By the end of 2023, a development pattern of co-ordinated advance of industrial internet plus work safety will basically take shape, monitoring platforms will be built for key industries, and an industrial internet plus work safety system with new capabilities in quick sensing, real-time monitoring, advance alerts, interconnected processing, systemic evaluation, etc, will be created.
