Dongguan Rolls Out 30 Measures to Stabilise Foreign Trade
28 May 2020
On 24 April, Dongguan issued a pronouncement on promoting the steady development of foreign trade. A total of 20 policy measures were put forward. These took effect immediately and will remain in force until the end of 2020. Among the measures are the following:
- Processing trade enterprises receiving interest rate discounts from central authorities or provincial governments for the import of core technologies and key equipment will also receive matching funds based on a ratio of 1:0.2.
- Support will be given to enterprises co-operating with countries along the Belt and Road routes in building industrial parks, and positive steps will be taken to promote overseas branded product display centres. Efforts will be made to build one or two new overseas exhibition centres each year, and to support enterprises “going out” in groups to promote the “made in Dongguan” brand.
- Support for online exhibitions will be accelerated. Such projects will be given grants of up to RMB500,000 and enterprises will be supported to make use of online exhibitions to open up new markets. They will receive 50% of the fees required to participate in these exhibitions, or up to RMB50,000 each year, whichever is the lower.
