China to Establish Demonstration Zones for IPR Protection

According to a plan recently announced by the China National Intellectual Property Administration, demonstration zones for the protection of intellectual property rights (IPR) will be established in about 20 cities across the country by 2025. In these zones, laws and regulations for IPR protection will be improved. Administrative protections for patents, trademarks, geographical indications, commercial secrets, customs protection and more will be strengthened, as will adjudication of IPR.
