China Strengthens Winter Olympics-related IP Protection

The China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) has moved to strengthen the protection of intellectual property rights related to the Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics. The CNIPA recently issued a circular on combating the malicious squatting on trademarks such as those relating to the official mascot Bing Dwen Dwen and skier Eileen Gu.
