China Announces Unemployment Insurance Rebate Scheme for Qualifying Businesses

All enterprises participating in unemployment insurance schemes may apply for premium rebates until 31 December this year provided that they either make no layoffs or their layoff rate / total number of employees is deemed to be within acceptable parameters. The move was confirmed in a joint announcement from the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and several other government departments and is in line with the priorities earlier identified in the Government Work Report.
