Mr. C.H. Poon’s areas of study include Mainland China’s trade performance, economic development and consumer markets, as well as the economic relationship between Hong Kong and Mainland China. His research portfolio also extends across many of Hong Kong’s manufacturing and service sectors, including processed food and beverages, wine, cosmetics and toiletries, accountancy, management consultancy and the legal profession.

Ms. Dora Si is a Partner of Deacons’ Intellectual Property Department. Dora is admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong and England and Wales (non-practising). She holds a LLM (Commercial and Corporate Law) degree from the University College London and a LLB (Hons) degree from the University of Hong Kong. Dora’s practice covers all aspects of IP protection and enforcement. She supported many multinational and Asian businesses in IP portfolio management, and has extensive experience in brand protection, particularly brand selection, re-branding, and conducting trade-mark opposition proceedings and settlement negotiations. Her expertise in IP enforcement is acknowledged by clients given her significant background in handling complex infringement cases. Dora also advises on China-related data privacy issues and has assisted clients with e-commerce, advertising compliance, celebrity rights, as well as other IP aspects of commercial transactions including licensing, franchising and distribution. She has represented many clients in the acquisition and commercialisation of IP assets, IP audits and due diligence, and technology development cooperation.
