Qingdao, supported by efficient sea-rail intermodal transport and customs clearance, has grown to become China’s top-ranking port. Freight forwarders from Japan and South Korea are increasingly using the city’s sea-rail multimodal logistics to handle cargo flowing between Japan, South Korea and Central Asia, Mongolia, ASEAN and Russia. Hong Kong players should proactively consider using the same solutions and better respond to the growing demand. More
