The Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission recently started the trial implementation of a “project confirmation” policy for foreign-invested projects encouraged by the state with a total investment of under US$300 million. This pilot programme will last for two years. Entities undertaking these projects may now use a confirmation letter to apply for import duty remission and exemption. More
