Safe passage through the metaverse

WHAT: The metaverse is set to shake up the business world and traditional supply chains previously constrained by physical boundaries. This webinar will consider the implications of the metaverse for the Hong Kong business community including the heightened cybersecurity risks. It will also examine ways in which Hong Kong small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can rework the architecture of their businesses in this new, decentralised era.

WHY: Speakers include Louis Chan, Principal Economist (Global Research), HKTDC Research, who provides leadership and direction for the HKTDC’s ongoing evaluation of the American and European markets. He will be joined by Antony Ma, Co-founder & Executive Director, Hoplite Technology. As a cybersecurity SaaS (software as a service) developer, Mr Ma is leading a team on building anti-phishing tools for SMEs in the Asia-Pacific. He has more than 20 years’ experience in financial technology. Mr Ma served as Chairman of the Professional Information Security Association (PISA) from 2009 to 2010 and was the founding Chairman of the Cloud Security Alliance Hong Kong and Macau Chapter.
