WHAT: Aiming to strengthen the long-standing relationship between Hong Kong and United Kingdom businesses, this coming webinar will provide an update on developments in Hong Kong and examine the city’s unique role as a multi-faceted hub where UK businesses can capture opportunities in the dynamic Asian market, especially the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) and Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region. The event will spotlight topical issues in finance, healthcare and business expansion.

WHY: Hong Kong and the UK have long had close business ties. In 2020, Hong Kong was the UK’s 12th largest trading partner in the world and second largest in Asia (after only Mainland China). Over the years, Hong Kong has also been the business hub connecting the UK and the mainland. About 6.8% or US$6.3 billion of total trade between the two economies were routed through Hong Kong in 2020.
