Learn about how the northern part of Vietnam presents opportunities to Hong Kong businesses as a production base and market.

WHAT: Northern Vietnam stands out on the radar of global manufacturers looking for alternative production bases outside Mainland China. In this seminar, speakers will discuss the region’s potential, both as a production base and a consumer market for Hong Kong companies, including its location and connectivity advantages, consumer market and e-commerce development. The speakers will also introduce the “FTA Programme” under the Dedicated Fund on Branding, Upgrading and Domestic Sales (the BUD Fund), and share manufacturing experiences in Vietnam.

WHO: Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC)
WHY: Speakers include Stanley Szeto, Chairman of fashion supply platform Lever Style Corporation, who will share his experience in manufacturing investment in Vietnam.
Another speaker is Wenda Ma, Assistant Principal Economist (Asian and Emerging Markets) at the HKTDC. Her team closely monitors and reports on the macro environment, market trends, consumer characteristics as well as changes in trade policies and regulations, with a mission to help Hong Kong companies capture business opportunities in these markets.
Attendees interested in the BUD Fund can hear from Nelson Mak, Manager (BUD) at the Hong Kong Productivity Council (the BUD Fund implementer).
