Amended Measures for Food Production Licensing to Take Effect in March
17 February 2020
Under newly revised rules scheduled to take effect on 1 March 2020, a food production licence will have to be obtained to engage in any food production activities on the mainland. The principle of one licence per enterprise will apply. The State Administration for Market Regulation will be in charge of the supervision of food production licensing across the country.
Applicants for food production licences must first obtain business licences and possess other necessary legal entity documentation. The person named on the business licence will be taken as the applicant.
Full details can be found in the Measures for the Administration of Food Production Licensing (Order No. 24 ) issued recently by the State Administration for Market Regulation.
